Friday, April 15 brought Jim and Kelly Watt to the Benton County area. The production team is gathering attractions across to the state for the upcoming Tennessee addition to the library. Concentrating on Western Tennessee for the next few weeks, Benton County will soon tout two attractions that make the Volunteer State version: The Tennessee River Freshwater Pearl Museum, Farm and Tour, and the Annual Fiddler’s Jamboree.

pontoon Jim and Kelly spent the day Friday with Bob Keast, owner of the Tennessee River Freshwater Pearl Museum, Farm and Tour, interviewing and filming for inclusion in the upcoming Tennessee travel edition of "Discoveries... America." The Watts were "amazed" at the pearl-culturing operation tucked away in the "small, rural community." Hosted by Birdsong Resort, Marina and Campground, the attraction sees over 300,000 visitors annually, placing them in the top twenty-five of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development’s Top 50 Most-Visited Attractions list.

Saturday found the couple in Holladay with Fiddler Jamboree director, Mary Arnold. Jim commented, "There were people jammin’ and pickin’ everywhere... we were rightfully impressed." Kelly snickered, "Of all the places we’ve been, it was really something." The Filddler’s Jamboree hosts not only the actual fiddler’s contest, but also a clogging contest, BBQ cooking, a parade, and a series of other activities. The Jamboree will celebrate its 50th year in 2006.

Bennett-Watt Entertainment has over 230 program titles currently available, including a series of international travel documentaries with Spain, Argentina, and Ireland; other series on "How to Fly Fish" (aired on ESPN); and a lengthy "Sweet Addition Cooking" series.
