KLOT Birdsong Results by Randy Sullivan

The last stop on the Kentucky Lake Outdoor Trail in 2004, was a stop at Birdsong Marina on October 2nd. The CD Development Invitational had 62 teams participating on a beautiful, early fall day. Many of the anglers were catching fish, but not many of any quality. But most were still anxious to try and take home part of the $9,000 in cash and prizes being offered. Triton Boats and Beech Lake Marine have once again teamed up to help Guarantee a large part of the prize money this year. Also Mechanical Pipe and Supply has offered Triton Boat Owner Bonus Money at each event, totaling $1,000 to the three highest finishing Triton owners.

Even with the fishing being somewhat tough, a few anglers still figured out how to catch a solid limit. The winners were Barry Arnold and Larry Frazier. Their limit weighed 14.69 pounds and earned them the $1200 first place prize. Second place belonged to Carl Breeden and Eddie Marrs with 14.38 pounds. They took home a check for $800. The third place money of $700 was captured by Keith Himes and Kevin Tidwell, with a solid limit of 14.19 pounds. Rounding out the top five were the teams of Judson Farrow and Cam Morey, for $600, with 13.33 pounds and the team of Nelson and Cass Jackson with 12.02, earning them $500. The big fish honors were as follows. Big fish went to Phil Cannady and Jim Story with a nice 6.11 lunker along with a Free Hammer Rod. Second big fish belonged to Jeff Fortner and Jeff Thomas with a 5.48 largemouth.

The Mechanical Pipe and Supply and Triton Bonus Money was taken by the following teams. A check for $500 was awarded to Phil Cannady, with his thirteenth place finish, as the highest finishing Triton Owner. A check for $300 went to Ralph Clenney, with a fourteenth place finish as the second highest finishing Triton Owner. A check for $200 went to Monty Daniels with a fifteenth place finish for the third highest finishing Triton Owner. Thanks again to Phil Cannady for such great support of our trail.
