Kentucky Lake is the largest man-made lake in America and lies mostly within the state of Tennessee with the lion’s share in Benton County.

Bob Keast and Birdsong's Tourism and Marketing Department is nearing completion of its 18-city Travel, Tourism and Golf Show agenda that began in January. Attendance at these shows is in excess of 3.5 million.

Birdsong Resort, Marina and Campground has displayed literature and promoted Benton County at the following shows: Nashville Fairgrounds Fishing Tackle Show; Cincinnati Golf Show; Nashville Boat and Sports Show; Chicagoland Rosemont Sports Show; Louisville Boat and RV Show; St. Louis Boat and Sports Show; Indianapolis Boat, Sport, RV and Travel Show; Cincinnati Boat and Travel Show; Jackson Tennessee Boat, RV and Travel Show; Memphis Mid-South Sports Show; Kansas City Sport and Boat Show; Toronto Golf Show; New Orleans Travel and Boating Expo; Pittsburgh Allegheny Sport and Travel Show; Cleveland Sport, Travel and Outdoor Show; American Bus Association Expo in Orlando; I-24 Boat Expo in Smyrna, TN; and Travel South Tourism Show in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The promotional schedule began January 3 and has been increased by eight shows over last year, as the Birdsong Team travels the country doing promotions. At every show the staff has been met with positive comments and feedback about Tennessee, especially Benton County and Kentucky Lake. Bob Keast, CEO/owner, and the Birdsong staff works hand in hand with regional and state tourism officials along with being a member of the Nashville, Jackson and Memphis Chambers of Commerce and the Convention and Visitor Bureaus.

Birdsong will be host to a new event this year - the Kentucky Lake Pearl Festival.

The three-day event will take place October 11, 12 and 13 along the waterfront and campground area of the recreational complex. A multitude of fun activities will be happening during the weekend show including an arts, craft and flea market, local entertainment on stage both days, small carnival rides for the kids, concessions vendors, catfish plates will be served by the volunteer fire departments, the Fall Classic Open Buddy Bass Tournament, a kids’ Bank Fishing Tournament, pontoon races and more.
